Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Continuing Education for Federal Construction
QC-Federal: Extended Learning Resources
Welcome to QC-Federal, your dedicated resource for exploring, discussing, and expanding knowledge of Quality Control (QC) in federal construction projects. Our mission is to deepen your understanding of the QC role and deliver practical tools that extend beyond foundational training.
All federal Quality Control Managers (QCMs) and Project Engineers (PEs) are required to complete the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Construction Quality Management for Contractors course (#784). This training is also highly recommended for site superintendents and project managers as an introduction to working with USACE on federal contracts.
While the official USACE/NAVFAC course provides a solid framework and outlines government expectations, it only briefly covers many day-to-day activities, challenges, and practical requirements on federal projects. That's where QC-Federal comes in—we bridge those gaps with contractor-focused guidance to help you excel.
How QC-Federal Helps You Succeed
This site fills curriculum gaps in the official USACE training, offering clearer practical insights and advanced recommendations—all from the contractor's perspective.
You'll gain:
- In-depth coverage of topics only touched on in the official course
- Clearer understanding of real-world expectations beyond theory
- Advanced best practice suggestions you can adapt and implement
- Practical insights from the contractor's viewpoint, complementing USACE guidance
This role carries significant responsibility and demands expertise—it's not for everyone. Is QC for You?
